Officers Bravely Rescue 2 Dogs Trapped In Culvert In Village Of Liberty A barking dog for two hours led police in the region to two dogs that were stuck in an underground culvert box. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 29 in the village of Liberty. According to Liberty Police Chief, Steven D'Agata, officers followed the parking to an underground box running along Edgar Street. Police Investigating Abuse Of 'Severely Injured' Puppy Found In Region A 10-to-14-week-old puppy is recovering after police in the Capital District found her suffering from severe abuse, authorities said. Schenectady Police were called Tuesday, Aug. 9, and found the animal severely injured and unable to stand on her own. Animal Control officers removed the dog and brought her to the emergency vet, where she received critical, lifesaving treatment, police said.
