Accord Man Nabbed Stealing $225K In Goods From Storage Container, Police Say An area 71-year-old has been charged with grand larceny after allegedly stealing more than $225,299 in property from a storage container. Ulster County resident Anthony Diguiseppe, of Accord, a hamlet of the town of Rochester, was arrested on Sunday, March 19. On Friday, March 3, State Police began an investigation of stolen property that exceeded $225,229, said Trooper Steve Nevel. The Investigation revealed that Diguiseppe removed items from a storage container that did not belong to him and moved them to another location, Nevel added. Hit-Run Driver Left Victim On Side Of Road In Ulster County, Police Say A man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle that fled the scene while he was out walking with his wife. Ulster County resident George Barley, age 62,  was struck around 2:20 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, while walking on Whitefield Avenue in Accord, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, when troopers from the Ellenville barracks responded to the accident scene they found Barley lying about eight feet off the roadway, unconscious, but breathing. New York State Police arrested Ulster County resident Etienne Dodge, 31, of Wawarsing, on Thursday, Nov. 12, for the theft which took place on Thursday, Nov. 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, on Nov. 5, state police received a complaint of a stolen golf cart stolen from a local business in Accord.  The golf cart was valued at $5,000.
