Several vehicles in Ulster County, in the Barclay Heights area of Saugerties, were broken into overnight Thursday, May 19, according to Saugerties Police.
Personal property was taken from several of the cars, police said.
Break-ins are an unfortunate side effect of the warmer weather, which often brings a rise in crimes of opportunity, police said.
Police are reminding residents to keep their cars locked at all times and never leave values like money or electronics in plain sight.
Anyone with information about the Barclay Heights thefts can contact Saugerties Police at 845-246-9800.
