It happened around 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 in Lakeview. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 24, in Lakeview, said the Nassau County Police. Former Town Commissioner On Long Island Indicted For Ticket Fixing A former Long Island commissioner of public safety has been arrested for allegedly fixing a ticket for a colleague. Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce A. Smith announced on Tuesday, Dec. 7, the arrest of Thomas DeMaria, age 67, of Floral Park, for allegedly instructing a subordinate to void a ticket of a Town of Hempstead colleague in 2018.
