Center Moriches Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk With 4 Kids In SUV In Shirley A Long Island woman was caught driving drunk overnight with four children in the SUV, according to police. The woman was driving a 2013 Honda Pilot on William Floyd Parkway just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, when she was pulled over for a traffic violation near Roeneck Court, Suffolk County Police said. Following a sobriety test, The Safe-T Team determined that the driver was intoxicated, and arrested her. Suffolk Cop Critically Injured By Drunk Driver To Be Released From Hospital A Long Island police officer who was critically injured by an alleged drunk driver will be released from the hospital following a month-long stay. Timothy Thrane of the Suffolk County PD was directing traffic at the intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Yaphank Woods Blvd., on Wednesday, Nov. 3 when a drunk driver struck the rear of a parked GMC Yukon causing that vehicle to strike Thrane.  Thrane, age 35, suffered life-threatening brain injuries and was on life support and a ventilator, said the Suffolk County Police.
