The fire erupted at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 22 in New Cassel, according to Nassau County Police. When officials arrived at Division Avenue, the scene of the blaze, the house was fully engulfed and they were informed that an elderly woman was still inside. Long Island House Fire Being Investigated As Arson, Police Say An overnight house fire that broke in Nassau County is being investigated as arson, police said. Emergency responders responded to the blaze at 157 Broadway in New Cassel at around 9:40 p.m. Friday, July 19.  Westbury Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
