One Killed, Two Hospitalized In Long Island Crash A 46-year-old driver was killed and two others hospitalized on Long Island after losing control of his pick-up truck and crashing, police said. Nassau County Police detectives responded to Wantagh Avenue in Levittown shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, where there was a reported crash involving three vehicles. Police said that the 46-year-old driver was in a Dodge Ram that flipped after striking a curb and fence, striking two other vehicles stopped in traffic on Red Maple Drive North. 20-Year-Old Critically Injured In Two-Vehicle Long Island Crash A Long Island motorcyclist is in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash. The crash took place around 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, in Levittown, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, while heading southbound on Wantagh Avenue, driving a 2020 Honda motorcycle, a 20-year-old man was involved in a collision with a southbound 2008 Jeep Cherokee, north of Red Maple Drive.  As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, police said. Man Crossing Long Island Intersection Struck, Killed By Mack Truck A man was killed after being struck by a truck while he was crossing a busy Long Island intersection overnight. The incident happened on Thursday, June 3 at around 10:10 p.m. in Levittown. While attempting to cross northbound on Wantagh Avenue at Hempstead Turnpike, the 50-year-old man was struck by a 2000 Mack truck traveling westbound, Nassau County Police said.  The man suffered multiple trauma injuries to his body and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:28 pm by a hospital physician, police said.
