Police: Suffolk Man Blocking Traffic While Asleep In Car Charged With DWI A man asleep behind the wheel on Vets Highway in Holbrook was arrested for alleged impaired driving after he was caught by police blocking traffic on the busy roadway in the middle of the night. Suffolk County Sheriff Deputies arrested Bellport resident Devaunte Maynes, 25, shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, when he was blocking traffic after allegedly falling asleep in the driver’s seat in a left turn lane.
