Suspect Nabbed After Demanding Cash, Keys From Victim On Residential Long Island Roadway A Long Island man who was arrested after he allegedly attempted to rob another man and threatened them with a knife, is recovering after being shot by a Good Samaritan. The incident took place on Saturday, March 6, around 5:25 a.m. in Massapequa, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, a 56-year-old man was in front of 95 Unqua Road when Aidan Dooher, 21, of 120 Suffolk Road, approached him and demanded the victim’s cash and keys. Woman Killed After Car Crashes Into Pole At Busy Long Island Intersection A woman was killed after her car crashed into a utility pole at a busy Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 9:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 in Massapequa. A 75-year-old woman was driving northbound on Unqua Road when her 2010 Toyota Prius left the roadway and struck the pole, Nassau County Police said.  The woman was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead, police said.  The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
