Nassau County Officer Dies At 46 After Accident In Plainview Home A Nassau County Police Sergeant died following an accident at his Plainview home. Sgt. Edward Sholl, 46, a Long Island native who grew up in Levittown, died after being electrocuted Friday, Aug. 16, while repairing a washing machine at his home. Sholl served as an instructor at the Nassau County Police Academy. He began his career in law enforcement in 1993 with the New York City Police Department were he worked until 2005 when he joined the Nassau County Police.  Known as being a great friend, Sholl was also a first responder at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, where he work…
