Security Guard Seriously Injures Residential Community Visitor In Mount Sinai, Police Say A visitor to a residential community was hospitalized and a security guard is facing an assault charge following an incident on Long Island, police said. While working as a security guard at The Ranches at Mount Sinai, located at Route 25A, John Ruggiero, 50, denied entry to a 68-year-old man who was attempting to visit a friend on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at approximately 3 p.m., Suffolk County Police said.
