Man Dies While Swimming On Long Island A 61-year-old man was pronounced decided shortly after deciding to go for a swim at a popular park in Nassau County. It happened at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 at Manorhaven Park, Nassau County Police said The man decided to go swimming while his male friend, 43, remained on the beach., police said. A short time later, the man on the beach was unable to see his friend, according to police. The friend entered the water and located the swimmer floating face down.
