Former LI Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Student On School Trip, Police Say
A 28-year-old former Bethpage High School teacher who was fired after being arrested for having "sexually charged" text conversations with a student, has been charged for having sex with the student while on a school trip. Joseph A. Gallagher, 28, of Smithtown, was arrested after Swatara Township Police on Friday, Oct. 4, in Pennsylvania, after police learned Gallagher had sex with a student who was in the area for a school trip, the department said.
