Bicyclist Struck In Westhampton Airlifted To Hospital, Police Say A bicyclist hit by a vehicle was airlifted to a Long Island hospital. The incident took place in Westhampton around 10:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 26 on Old Riverhead Road. Southampton Town police responded and requested additional personnel for assistance, said Lt. Susan Ralph of the Southampton Police.  Westhampton Beach Police, Suffolk County Sheriff’s, Westhampton Beach Fire Department, and Westhampton Beach Volunteer Ambulance responded as well.  Suffolk County Aviation has been requested to fly the victim for further medical attention, Ralph said.  Southamp…

Head-On Suffolk County Crash Kills One A Long Island man was killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash after losing control of his truck and hitting another vehicle head-on. It took place around 6:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 10 in Southampton, on County Road 104 near Pleasure Drive.  According to Lt. Man Dies In Raging Suffolk County House Fire A man was killed during a roaring house fire on Long Island. The blaze began around 1:17 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at 37 Peconic Bay Avenue in North Sea, in the Roses Grove community, said Southhampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph. The Noth Sea Fire Department responded and requested further assistance from Sag Harbor and Southampton Fire Departments.  When firefighters arrived on the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames, Ralph said. Female Jogger Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Van In Suffolk County A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a work van on Long Island. The incident happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 in Watermill. The Southampton Town Emergency Call Center received a call for a jogger struck by a work van. Several patrol vehicles responded to the scene to find the female jogger struck by a work van. The driver of the van remained at the scene.
