The victim, Kevin Nash, age 65, of Shoreham, was driving a 2010 Jeep Patriot in Bellport westbound on Martha Avenue when he suffered a medical emergency that caused him to lose control of the vehicle just east of Bellport Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, Suffolk County Police said. 12-Year-Old Girl Drowns In Backyard Pool Of Suffolk County Home A 12-year-old Long Island girl drowned in the pool of her home overnight. Addison Delossantos, a resident of the home on Associaton Road in Bellport, was found unresponsive in the backyard pool around 7:20 p.m., Monday, June 14, said the Suffolk County Police. Delossantos was transported by South Country Ambulance to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead. The investigation is continuing.

Jet Ski Rider Injured In Suffolk County Bay After Hitting Sandbar A jet ski rider was rescued on Long Island after their vehicle hit a sandbar. The rescue took place around 11:13 a.m., Sunday, June 6, when South Country Ambulance was requested as mutual aid to the Mastic Beach Fire Department for a water rescue in New Old Inlet in Bellport Bay.  The rider had been thrown from the front of the jet ski after hitting the sandbar, suffering a broken ankle, said the South County Ambulance.
