Update: 911 Disruptions In Suffolk County Solved, Police Say Update:  An equipment failure leading to disruptions to 911 calls on Long Island has been fixed, according to authorities.  On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Suffolk County Police Department announced that service disruptions, which were causing issues for those calling 911, have now been solved.  The news comes one day after the department provided an alternate number for callers who were unable to get ahold of the emergency center.
