According to a job posting on the company website from Friday, Oct. 1, the Nassau County store is in the process of being liquidated and needs employees to help disassemble displays and prepare the store for closure. Long Island Mall Sells For Nearly $30M, Report Says The Sunrise Mall on Sunrise Highway on Long Island sold for nearly $30 million, a fraction of what it went for when it was previously sold in 2005. Sunrise Mall Holdings LLC, a joint venture led by Manhattan real estate investment trust Urban Edge Properties, paid $29.7 million to purchase the Massapequa mall from Westfield, the company announced this week. The 1.2 million-square-foot mall previously sold for more than $140 million in 2005. The new deal also calls for upwards of $6 million in contingency consideration funds.
