Cause Of Death Released For LI Pizzeria Owner In Dominican Republic Details on the death of a longtime owner of a Long Island pizzeria who died in the Dominican Republic have been released. Vittorio Caruso, 56, of Glen Cove died Monday, June 17, shortly after he reportedly drank something and became critically ill in Santo Domingo at the Boca Chica Resort. LI Pizzeria Owner Latest American Tourist To Die In Dominican Republic The longtime owner of a pizzeria on Long Island is the latest American tourist who has died in the Dominican Republic.
