Man Found Dead Floating In Water Next To BMW On Long Island Police are investigating after finding a man dead inside a BMW that was found floating in a body of water on Long Island. The incident took place in Port Washington around 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the area of 175 Roslyn West Shore Road. According to Nassau County detectives, a witness spotted a white object floating in the water at 175 Roslyn West Shore Road and contacted police.  Following an investigation, the object recovered was a 2023 BMW X3 SUV that was removed from the water by the Nassau County Emergency Services Unit.  Also discovered and removed from the water…

Car Lands In Pool Of Long Island Home After Crash, Sending Two Swimming Two people ended up inside a pool, but not for fun, when the vehicle they were inside landed in the water following a crash. The incident took place around 9:55 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when the driver of the vehicle lost control and drove through a fence and into a pool at a home on Sunnyvale Road in Port Washington, said the Nassau County Police. The car was only partially submerged and both people inside the vehicle were able to escape,  police said.  Additional details were not available. The fire began just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at a shed of the facility on Manorhaven Boulevard in Manorhaven.  After the Port Washington Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire, the Nassau County PD Arson/Bomb Squad was called to the scene to investigate.
