Long Island Man Busted For Driving High On Drugs, Crashing, Police Say A Long Island man was charged with alleged DWAI/drugs and possession of drugs following a single-vehicle crash. The incident took place in Nassau County around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the area of 7 Newbridge Road in Hicksville. Man, Woman Arrested For Robbing, Injuring 79-Year-Old Woman In Ronkonkoma A monthslong investigation has led to the arrests of a man and woman for injuring and robbing a 79-year-old Ronkonkoma woman in May. Patrick Schlereth and Brittany Thorner robbed the woman of her purse in a parking lot, located at 318 Portion Road, in Ronkonkoma on May 26, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Suffolk County Police said. During the robbery the woman suffered injuries to her arm. Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, Schlereth, 25, of Seventh Avenue, in East Meadow and Thorner, 22, of the same address, were arrested in a car at the intersection of Newbridge Road …
