Woman Killed In Hicksville House Fire A woman in Hicksville died after being pulled out of the second floor of her home during a fire. Firefighters were dispatched to a Ketcham Avenue home shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, when the fire broke out in a two-story home, which was reportedly cluttered, leaving a difficult task for fire crews. The unidentified 49-year-old woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Nassau University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
