Man Struck, Seriously Injured By Car At Dix Hills Intersection A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a car at a Long Island intersection. The crash happened in Dix Hills at the intersection of Deer Park Road and Old Country Road at about 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, the Suffolk County Police Department said. SCPD said a 54-year-old West Hempstead man was driving a 2004 Pontiac sedan south on Deer Park Road and struck the man in the roadway. The pedestrian was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said. Police did not release his age. The driver …

Two Suffolk County Store Workers Accused Of Selling E-Liquid Nicotine To Minors Two employees of Long Island businesses were arrested and accused of selling e-liquid nicotine to minors.  Police arrested 21-year-old Marvin Navarro Villeda, and 50-year-old Rachid Elassab, both of Queens, on Monday, Feb. 28 following an investigation, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said police received numerous complaints from members of the community about the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes to minors.
