School Bus Crash: 13 Children, Driver Suffer Injuries On Long Island A crash between a school bus and a pickup truck on Long Island sent 13 students and the drivers of both vehicles to the hospital. The crash took place in Nassau County around 3:30 p.m., Monday, May 1 in East Meadow on Old Westbury Road. According to Nassau County Police officers, a 2009 Toyota pickup truck traveling southbound on Old Westbury Road was in a collision with a 2005 school bus in the vicinity of Melanie Drive.
