A Long Island man was apprehended shortly after he assaulted and injured a bus driver who told him he needed to wear a face-covering as required by state measures taken amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Long Island Cell-Phone Store
The suspect in an armed robbery of a Long Island Metro PCS store remains at large, according to police. Detectives with the Nassau County Police Department say a black male wearing a mask and gloves entered Metro PCS in Hempstead (652 Fulton Avenue) on Monday, Oct. 28 around 8 p.m. Once inside, the man showed a black handgun and ordered the 25-year-old female employee to put her hands up and go to the back of the store, according to police.
