Man Killed After Being Struck By Pickup Truck At Suffolk Intersection A man was killed after being struck by a pickup truck at a Long Island intersection overnight. The incident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 in Bay Shore. A 54-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Howells Road when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway at the intersection of Manatuck Boulevard, Suffolk County Police said. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to residents in Suffolk regarding the residency of 44-year-old Darren Stein, who has moved from an unknown residence to Manatuck Boulevard in Bay Shore. The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Stein as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and a possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.
