At approximately 2:40 a.m., Oceanside resident John Masone, age 55, walked up to the Exxon gas station located at 820 Hempstead Avenue and tried to get inside. According to Nassau County Police Department detectives, officers arrived at a Ronkonkoma Avenue home in the Town of Hempstead in Lakeview at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, where there was a working house fire on the second floor. Anthony Brown, 31, of Hempstead, was arrested for an assault that took place on Sunday, July 14, 2019, in Lakeview, said the Nassau County Police.
