Long Island Man Sentenced For High-Speed, Near-Fatal Mercedes Crash
A 44-year-old man will spend time in prison after driving the Mercedes-Benz involved in a high-speed chase that left one person with life-threatening injuries and injured several others in 2017. Kelvin O’Neal, of Freeport, has been sentenced to five years in prison and two years of post-release supervision for the December 2017 crash, which he fled the scene of, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said. O’Neal pleaded guilty in March to two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in physical injuries. S…
