Long Island Man Killed During Head-On Crash With School Bus In Suffolk
A Long Island man was killed after crashing into a school bus while allegedly driving erratically and crossing the double yellow line on the highway, police said. John A. Caputo, age 31, of Valley Stream, was killed around 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, in Riverhead. According to detectives, the Riverhead Town Police received a report of an erratic driver in a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee failing to maintain its lane of travel, westbound on Sound Avenue.
