Long Island Man Points Gun At 6-Year-Old Who Left Candy At Wrong House, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at the head of a 6-year-old boy who was trying to retrieve a bag of goodies left at the wrong home. The incident occurred in Manhasset around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 on Rockcrest Drive. According to Nassau County Police, a mother drove her daughter, two sons, and her nephew to a home in Manhasset to drop off a goody bag of Halloween treats to a friend. Store Employee Accused Of Falsely Reporting Bomb, Gun Threats At Smith Haven Mall A 28-year-old woman was charged after investigators said that she falsely reported bomb and gun threats at a mall on Long Island. Officers responded to Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove after texts were sent to 911 reporting a bomb inside the mall shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
