ID Released For Man Killed In Chain-Reaction Crash At Busy Long Island Intersection Police have released the identity of a man killed in a chain-reaction crash at a busy Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 in Hempstead. It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, in Freeport on South Bay Avenue.
