Jung Su Kim, age 58, of Queens, was apprehended for a burglary that happened at a Starbucks in Great Neck Plaza at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Man Apprehended After Fleeing Long Island Traffic Stop, Jumping Into Water, Police Say A 60-year-old Long Island man was charged after authorities said he attempted to flee a traffic stop by driving away and jumping into a body of water. The incident happened in Freeport at 10:20 p.m. on Monday, July 11, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said Freeport Police officers saw a 2007 Nissan drive through a red light at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and South Main Street. Town Employee In Suffolk Arraigned For Stealing Property An employee of a Long Island town was arraigned after authorities said he stole and sold town property worth thousands of dollars. Robert Chura, age 29, of Selden, was arraigned on Thursday, Jan. 6, after he was accused of stealing tools from the Town of Huntington and selling them, according to an announcement from Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
