Fire Destroys Popular Long Island Bagel Shop, Neighboring Tutoring Business
A popular Long Island bagel store suffered heavy damage after a delivery van went up in flames, which spread to the building over the weekend, officials said. First responders were dispatched to Bagel Express and Eye Level Learning Center in Williston Park on Hillside Avenue at approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, when a four-alarm fire broke out. Upon arrival, police said that they found a 2008 Chrysler delivery truck from Bagel Express fully engulfed in flames.
