Man Struck By Lirr Train A man who was struck by a train at the Woodside LIRR station was still alive when transported to Elmhurst Hospital.  The incident, which took place around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, has caused five cancellations and delays averaging 10 to 15 minutes, said a LiRR spokesman. The LIRR spokesperson did not say how the man got on the tracks.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
