Savonn Dangerfield, age 27 of Hempstead, admitted to murdering 23-year-old Jeffrey Lee nearly six years before, the Nassau County District Court announced. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old Struck By 2 SUVs On Long Island Roadway One person was killed in an overnight crash on Long Island. It happened around 8:10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 in Hempstead. A man was crossing on Clinton Street near the intersection of Dartmouth Street when he was struck by a 2012 Dodge Durango traveling southbound being operated by a 46-year-old woman, Nassau County Police said.  He was then struck by a second vehicle, a 2008 Acura MDX being operated by a 19-year-old man.  Alejandro Chamale Top, age 38, of Hempstead, was pronounced dead on scene by a Northwell ambulance paramedic. Jayden Woods, aged 23, of Hempstead, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Tuesday, July 11, for his role in the death of 17-year-old Omarion Jackson, according to the Nassau County District Attorney. Woods pleaded guilty to the charges that, on the night of December 21, 2020, a group of five men – including Jackson – went to Woods’ Stewart Avenue house.
