Distraught Long Island Woman Sitting On Edge Of Roof Saved By Cops, Police Say A Long Island woman sitting on the edge of a roof in crisis was saved by police officers, according to authorities. The incident took place just before 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 10 in the Nassau County village of Bellerose. That's when the Emergency Services Unit was called in to assist with a woman sitting close to the edge of the second-story roof of a three-story home and she appeared to be in crisis.  The woman was very upset and distraught, an officers from the 3rd Precinct spoke to her in an attempt to calm her down, according to Nassau County Police.  Eventually, officer…
