Officer Arrested In Selden For Road-Rage Incident, Police Say
An off-duty NYPD officer has been charged in an alleged road-rage incident on Long Island. The incident took place in Selden around 11:20 a.m. Saturday, July 23. Douglas Debonet, age 32, of Selden, was arrested after he exited his car at Old Town Road and County Road 83 in Selden and broke a side view mirror on a vehicle involved in the incident, said the Suffolk County Police. Later that day, Debonet went to the driver’s home and was involved in an altercation with the driver’s father, police said.
