Hit-Run Suspect Caught After Crashing Car Into Long Island Home, Police Say A 20-year-old man has been apprehended after crashing his car into a Long Island home and then leaving the scene. Calogero Messina, of Astoria, Queens, was arrested for an incident that happened in Farmingdale at about 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, according to the Nassau County Police Department. One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash At Long Island Intersection One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26 in Farmingdale, at the intersection of Clinton Street and Conklin Street.  A 2011 Nissan X-terra was traveling westbound on Conklin Street and a 2006 Mercedes was traveling eastbound on Clinton Street at the time of the collision, Nassau County Police said. The driver of the Mercedes was in critical condition, transported to a local area hospital, and later pronounced by hospital staff at 3:52 p.m. Friday, according to police. Long Island Man Arrested After Attacking Store Attendant During Robbery Attempt, Police Say A 39-year-old Long Island man who allegedly attempted to rob a convenience store and beat the attendant has been arrested.  Nassau County Police said the incident took place around 7:50 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at the US Gas store in Farmingdale. Cop, Slashing Victim Hit By Minivan Outside Farmingdale Hookah Bar Numerous people were injured, including a Nassau County police officer, after a disturbance and slashing outside a popular hookah bar. The incident began around 2:45 a.m., Saturday, April 20, when police were called to a disturbance at the Mystique Gardens Hookah Lounge, 365 Conklin St., said Det. Lt.
