The incident happened at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15. Nassau County police reported that two male teens, a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old, went out sailing on Centre Island in Oyster Bay Harbor in a 25-foot sailboat. Body Found Floating In Long Island Sound Near Unoccupied Boat The body of a man was discovered in the Long Island Sound near an unoccupied boat. It happened in the Gold Coast area along Long Island's North Shore on Sunday morning, May 17. At 8:20 a.m., police in Centre Island received a call about the boat floating in the water. It happened on Wednesday, Nov. 13 just after at 2:15 p.m. in Bayville. The Bayville Fire Department and Nassau County Police responded to the house fire at 128 Bayville Avenue. Sonia Baron, 94, of Bayville, was found following a fire at her home on Bayville Park Boulevard around 1:58 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, said the Nassau County Police. Another resident, a man, was also found inside the home and is listed in critical condition, police said.
