Driver Airlifted To Hospital After Vehicle Strikes Dump Truck In Brookhaven A 34-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition after the vehicle he was driving on Long Island collided with a dump truck.The crash happened on Montauk Highway near South Country Road in Brookhaven at about 6:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Man Struck By School Bus On Long Island, Hospitalized In Critical Condition A 70-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a school bus on Long Island. The crash happened in Merrick at about 12:40 p.m. on Monday, March 28. The school bus with no children on board was traveling south on Merrick Avenue when it was involved in a crash at Benson Lane with a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck, the Nassau County Police Department reported. Man Struck, Critically Injured In Long Island Crash, Police Say Police are investigating after a 70-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at a Long Island intersection and hospitalized with critical injuries. The Nassau County Police Department reported that the crash happened in North Bellmore at about 3:50 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15. A 41-year-old man was driving a 2015 GMC when the vehicle struck the 70-year-old man at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Newbridge Road, NCPD said.
