After a months-long investigation, a suspect has been nabbed for a knifepoint Long Island gas station robbery.

Nassau County Police Bureau of Special Operations officers were able to locate the suspect, Nicolas Bocci, of Levittown, on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 9:30 p.m. in Levittown sitting in a parked vehicle on Barbara Lane and he was placed under arrest without incident.

The robbery occurred at the Exxon gas station located at 3285 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown on Tuesday, Sept. 24 just after 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, a 69-year-old male employee told officers that a male suspect had walked into the store, pulled out a knife and demanded money from the register, police said. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Bocci has been charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday, Jan. 12 at First District Court in Hempstead.
