It happened Friday, Nov. 8 at 5:45 pm in Garden City South.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, a male subject whose race is unknown entered the Valley National Bank on 339 Nassau Boulevard, approached a teller and made verbal demands for money.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject left the bank and was last seen on foot northbound on Nassau Boulevard towards Princeton Avenue.
He was further described as being about 35 to 45 years old, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot tall with a stocky build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, a plaid baseball hat, sunglasses, a dust mask covering his face and gloves. No injuries were reported.
