After entering the Chase Bank in Valley Stream located at 270 N. Central Ave. on Monday, Dec. 30 at 6 p.m., the suspect approached the window and handed the teller a note demanding money, Nassau County Police said on Thursday, Jan. 9.

The teller surrendered an undisclosed amount of currency to the suspect, who then fled on foot onto North Central Avenue in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

There were four employees and one customer present at the time of the robbery.

The suspect is described by police as a 6-foot black male, approximately 30 years old, with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and purple gloves.
