LI Woman Attacked By Man Who Throws Liquid Substance In Her Face, Police Say

A woman was seriously injured on Long Island allegedly by a man who threw a dark-colored liquid in her face while she was standing in her driveway.

The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, a 21-year-old woman was walking on the driveway of her Arlington Avenue residence when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. 

The man was carrying a white-colored cup containing a dark-colored substance which he then threw at the victim’s face, police said.

The suspect fled eastbound on Arlington Avenue. The victim sustained serious physical injuries and was transported by Police Ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as being approximately 6’2” tall, with a skinny build, wearing a black-colored sweatshirt with a hood, and gloves.
