A Bay Shore man was arrested after firing a handgun inside a home during a domestic dispute, said the Suffolk County Police.

The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, May 6, when Suffolk County Police responded to a 911 report of shots fired at 18 Center Ave., in Bay Shore, said a department spokesperson.

Following an investigation, detectives determined that Jaqunne Brewster, 23, a resident of the home, fired several rounds from a handgun during a dispute with a family member, police said.

 There were no injuries.

Brewster was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday, May 7.
