An injured man was rescued from the woods in Commack by EMS and ambulance corps members who responded to a report of a man with a traumatic injury, said the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
The incident took place 6:41 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, when the man was found about 100 feet in the woods near Schuyler Drive, with non-life threatening injuries, the department said.
Commack EMS and ambulance corps members used a stokes basket to help carry the injured man out of the woods.
Once secured, the man was transported to Southside hospital for treatment.
