Johnson & Hoffman LLC, who has been located on Voice Road for 70 years in Carle Place, will close on on Nov. 4, due to economic reasons, according to a state WARN notice.

The notice, which is required for any mass layoff or closing, was posted the company's website on Friday, Sept. 6.

On the website, the company said: "After approximately 70 years in operation, Johnson & Hoffman (J&H) a precision metal stamping company is closing."

The company has been in Carle Place since 1949 and was once a leading global supplier of complex, precision metal stampings.

The statement also said the company has valued its long relationship with the support of the state, Nassau County, and its "many dedicated employees."
