Flood Warning Issued For Hudson River In Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Hudson river in Poughkeepsie through 7:24 p.m. on Tuesday. 

The Hudson River is expected to reach flood levels in Poughkeepsie.

Flood stage for the Hudson river in this area is 5-feet. As of 8 a.m. the river was at 2.5 feet was was expected to reach flood stage by 11 a.m., reaching 5.2 feet by 1 p.m. 

Minor flooding of low lands, boat docks and boat launches can be expected. 

The river is expected to drop back below flood stage by 1 p.m.
