Suspect Nabbed After Town of Poughkeepsie Stolen-Car Chase Ends In Crash
A man driving a vehicle stolen from an area hospital was busted after taking police on a short chase, crashing, and attempting to flee from officers on foot, police said. Investigators in Dutchess County from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to the MidHudson Regional Hospital on North Road shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, where there was a report of a stolen 2010 Acura TL. 19: Large Poughkeepsie Street Gathering Ends With One Dead
In the midst of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and orders for residents to be inside their homes unless absolutely necessary, police officers found themselves breaking up two large gatherings, one that ended with a fatality, in the area. The incident happened around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in Poughkeepsie. Police Ask Public's Help After Several Vehicles Damaged In Poughkeepsie
City of Poughkeepsie police are asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for damaging numerous vehicles in the city. Police said they began receiving calls around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday of reports of spray paint damage to several vehicles in the area of Worrall Avenue, Fountain Place, and Forbus Street, police said.
