Poughkeepsie Man Hit Girlfriend In Face Mulitple Times, Police Say A 31-year-old man who had seven license suspensions and had been charged with family offenses in the past was arrested for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the face numerous times and then taking her cell phone.  Steven Tomassetti, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 4:50 a.m., on Sunday, Sept. 1, after Putnam County deputies responded to Flory's Mobil on Bryant Pond Road in Putnam Valley, said the Sheriff's Office.
