45-Year-Old Danbury Woman Killed, Man Critical In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash A 45-year-old Connecticut woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following a wrong-way driver crash on I-84. The collision took place in New Haven County around 6:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, in Waterbury. A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling in the wrong direction on I-84 when it caused two other vehicles to crash, said the Connecticut State Police. Killed in the crash was 45-year-old Fairfield County resident Francisa Jessennia Cortez-Arias of Danbury. This week, doctors and nurses in Danbury began providing mobile testing on hospital grounds to allow for faster, safer, testing without potential patents even having to leave their vehicles. Man Killed In I-84 Wrong-Way Crash Funeral services have been set for a Newtown business owner and Greenwich High School graduate who was one of two people killed in a wrong-way crash on I-84. According to Connecticut State Police, Diego Fernando Jimenez, 48, of Newtown, died following a wrong-way crash around 1 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, on I-84 in Southbury. State Police said the crash occurred when David Hozer, 46, of Southbury, was traveling the wrong way on westbound I-84 when his 2011 Audi Q5 struck a limousine Jimenez was driving. One Dead, One Injured In Single-Vehicle I-84 Crash One person was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle crash on I-84 westbound, Connecticut State Police said. The crash took place around 7:45 p.m., Thursday, July 25,  near Exit 18 in Waterbury when the driver of the vehicle lost control and struck the metal beam guardrail, said the Connecticut State Police. Man Faces Host Of Charges After Fleeing 115 MPH I-84 Chase On Foot A local man faces a host of charges after taking police on a high-speed chase reaching speeds of 115 miles per hour in a stolen vehicle. Nathaniel Calloway, 28, was arrested after Connecticut State Troopers attempted to stop him on Monday on I-84 for a suspended vehicle registration, Trooper Kelly Grant said. When the trooper pulled out to stop Calloway he sped up reaching speeds of 115 mph before the trooper lost sight of him, Grant said.
